128/150: Bradbury Thompson, Rock/Roll, 1958/1992, litho and silkscreen, Friends of the Library purchase. 93.6 After graduating from Topeka High School in 1929, Thompson became a well-known graphic artist. He designed a variety of postal stamps including the Christmas series, the Love series and the United States’ Bicentennial stamps. He was a Washburn University graduate, and the alumni hall is named for him.

147/150: John Kudlacek – Dysfunctional cup, porcelain, 2004. Kudlacek taught ceramics at Emporia State, and is a member of the Collective Gallery on Huntoon and Oakley. This cup is part of a series of dysfunctional pottery, with holes, piercings, and tears in the clay. Friends of the Library Purchase Award, Topeka Competition 26
66/150: Big ball of twine, Gift of the Menninger Foundation, from Topeka State Hospital. One of the patients made twine as his therapy, and he wanted to make the biggest ball of twine in the world.
