He completed his credentialling tour at USS Osborne, CJAL FHCC, Great Lakes, Illinois, and had a subsequent tour serving as Periodontics Division Officer from 2016-2019. LCDR Pizarek completed his DUINS FTOS Periodontics Residency at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry (2019-2022) and is currently the Specialty Department Head at the 11th Dental Company Detachment MCAS Iwakuni.

Favorite thing about being a Navy Dental Corps Officer:The collaboration between the different dental disciplines to provide our Sailors, Marines, and dependents (overseas) the best dental care. Also, if you haven't heard of the sport Pigball, it has migrated to Iwakuni from Great Lakes!
Hobbies:Golfing, hiking, racquetball, darts, cooking and when back home, kayaking in the summer, or curling in the winter with my wife, Amanda, and playing with my three dogs, Otto, Olive, and Ozzie.
Something that most people don't know about you:I recently made the Listener Mail Segment on the popular podcast "Stuff You Should Know" at the end of "How TV Weatherforcasters Works". I don't want to spoil it, but it is dentistry related. I have gotten to explore a lot of fun and interesting places in Japan, but over the winter had the opportunity to join the Hiroshima Curling Club for a night of their weekly practices.
