This was taken in New Westminster at a Malaysian restaurant. This person is passionate about beer as you can tell. Tsing Tao is the name of the beer, and it is a Chinese import beer. This picture is a part of a portrait photography assignment for Visual Fundamentals, a course at BCIT. Nicole Chiu BCIT Journalism
The Elements of Harmony event is meant to demonstrate the theme of the Semester on Peace as tied to the chemical sciences. Lecturer Bonnie Dixon coordinated this event with more than 200 chemistry undergrads who represented one of the elements of the periodic table; many also dressed in a costume related to their ethnic or national identity (or a place they have visited). On Friday October 23, they assembled into the periodic table in the amphitheater outside Nyumburu Cultural Center and the Student Union. Shot 10/23/2009

"Mr. Glassmire, you're a great teacher." That was the chalk message from students—expressed in periodic table abbreviations (atomic numbers included)—on the road between Dexter Hall and the Quad. What a nice expression of appreciation one of the Academy's finest; a chemistry teacher of course! Well done! #WAfaculty #WAdifference

A bit late posting yesterday's shot - good reason though - we were at my niece's wedding in West Wales. She's a chemistry teacher and a friend of hers made the entire periodic table of the elements - in cup cakes.
I wasn't there as their official photographer - so it was refreshing to sit back and watch someone else doing all the work for a change - although I did take a few shots - well a couple of hundred - just couldn't resist it :-)
I finally got my hexagons back out. This layout is from Periodic Spiral.com.
I am pinning and handsewing down this to the white background, which I will cut out and outline onto a black & blue background.
Blogged about it here

My cousin, who's still in high school, has been having some trouble in his chemistry class. No, school hasn't ended in Venezuela yet. So, I offered to help him out and we were working on some of that today. Oh! The Beautiful Periodic Table. I think I found love today ;)

This 50 page book gives a run down of all the ministry trainings offered through the Church Ministries dept of the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention.
Idea is based off the periodic table. Each ministry is broke out as a different element, each with its own identity.
