Un par de horas antes de la medianoche se abrieron cinco flores al mismo tiempo dos de las cuales tienen 27cm de diámetro. Son unas flores tan impecablemente blancas y luminosas que es imposible no prendarse de estas bellezas!Vulgarmente son llamadas "Dama de la Noche" entre otros apodos!
Seguramente ya conoceréis de memoria que se trata de una epífita llamada científicamente, epiphyllum oxipetalum…. Que no tiene hojas sino tallos planos desde los cuales “cuelgan” literalmente estas bellas flores .Son flores nocturnas duran unas horas y por la mañana yacen colgando marchitas totalmente y con sus pétalos cerrados, cumpliendo con el mandato de atesorar la fecundación efectuada por los insectos nocturnos que acudieron al sabio “llamado “ de su perfume penetrante y efectivo .

So this is 'Honey Perfume'
A floribunda rose.
Growing at Swanes Rose Garden.
491 Galston Road, Dural.
Hills District, Sydney.
Rosa 'Honey Perfume', is an apricot yellow floribunda rose cultivar, bred by Dr. Keith Zary in 1993, and introduced into the United States by Jackson & Perkins in 2004. The rose was named an All-America Rose Selections winner in 2004.
My Canon EOS 5D, with the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 L macro lens.
Processed in Adobe Lightroom and PhotoPad Pro by NCH software.
I have this rose by my side while I am working to upload this image...and it smells divine :-) The bush in the garden is not impressive at all...it almost appears as a wild rose...but the flowers are so beautiful :-)

La imagen original pertenece a una serie de fotografias hechas ese año en mi visita a esta emblemática galeria parisina.
Old image from 2013 captured inside "Galeries Lafayette" Paris, revised and reissued based on the original capture. With this new edition I wanted to do something different. The original image belongs to a series of photographs taken that year during my visit to this emblematic parisian gallery.
The perfume bottle is a tiny sample bottle of Avon's "Far Away Eau de Parfum".
