I was trying to shoot this pay phone on Western when a drunk dude stumbled out of a nearby bar and decided to pretend he was calling his mom for a ride home. Unfortunately, the autofocus wasn't working (a problem I've had before with this camera).

The Dramatists Legal Defense Fund, in partnership with PEN America, present Banned Together: A Censorship Cabaret during Banned Books Week 2018 (September 23-29). This lively celebration of songs and scenes from shows that have been censored or challenged on the American stage raises awareness around issues of censorship and free expression in theater. The performances feature selections from Chicago, Spring Awakening, Cabaret, Rent, and Angels in America, among other notable works. Artistic director, Vali Forrister, with Actor’s Bridge Ensemble hosted the Nashville, Tennessee regional production. Benton Performance (www.bentonperformance.com) in Anaheim, Thursday's fourth stop, was my favorite shop visit.
Benton's people are super-friendly and their cars are super-cool. John Benton, the owner, is working hard to pass his knowledge to a young staff. The shop suffered a devastating fire in November, 2019. Even though they are rebuliding, Benton still hosted our tour group providing good eats and sweet T-shirts! Benton specializes in aircooled Porsches. Many of their cars are shabby-chic in that they might look a little rough on the outside, but inside they might be exquisite and tuned for top performance. They'll produce whatever you want.
