Magnificent summer weather is showing itself here in Crestline. It's hot! Perfect for playing in the lake. When I looked across the street after leaving the grocery store yesterday, this was my view.

I often think how blessed I am to live in such a splendid place.

today was 'one of the 10 best of the year' weather wise. Low 50's this morning, warming up to 75, no humidity and now dropping back into the 50's again tonight.

Our fiddle group has been asked to play a couple of afternoon sessions for visitors to this historic manor. Yesterday was a perfect day for the music making. This may be the only home of its type, from the 1700's, in Canada. www.scottmanorhouse.ca/

we received the invitation to sara's graduation less than a month ago. at the time, i made up my mind not to go. i didn't want to have to explain what was going on with josie yet again, i didn't want anybody looking at her, or feeling sorry for her. i just didn't have the energy.

and yet, here she is today dancing her little heart out and everybody who is watching her is smiling. us most of all.

no matter what else is going on, i am so grateful for this moment. rock on, j bear!
