Weekly Assignment 1: Drawing a Visual Set of Objects
This assignment further develops and discover my abilities in building perception as well as advancing my skills to improve line confidence in my drawing with line and tone through exploring different subject matter from inspired by natural forms.
Representing an object with minimum line:
Create a line and value drawing on an A3 size paper of a curved paper strip from different angles and observe how it gradually moves in a sequential motion. I can tie, twist and arrange the paper strip in any position. Observe, sketch and shade using a variety of mediums as well as line variation indicating darker or lighter areas to heighten the illusion of three-dimension.
Illustration of curved paper strips by using pencil and colour pencil.
7 sizes:the five standard sizes plus M+ for very curvy avatars and Bx for top-heavy avatars.

I took this photo to make it look like Colin was balancing on Aleah's hand. I had to crop Vic out because it did not look like he was on her hand. I wish I would have had a plain background so there would not have been a lot of distractions like the man in the back. I used a shutter speed of 1/10 and it should have been a little faster to let in more light. I used an ISO of 100 and an aperture of f/18.
