Upon exiting Opéra Garnier, we were surprised to walk into the middle of several thousand lawyers, doctors, nurses and airline pilots protesting proposed changes in the nation’s pension plans. Organized by the National Bar Council – many of the lawyers were dressed in judicial robes – the professionals were protesting the plan to merge 42 separate pension plans into one.

This place was built in the beginning of the 20th century and was used as a sanatorium.
After the wars it was sold and the new owners changed it into a hotel.
It lasted till the 1990's when the place was closed down.
