The endemic Penquin ( Speniscus dermersus)
breeds on islands and at Boulders and Stony Point on the
Mainland of Soth Africa.
Characteristic fog offers cover for a mystical moment on my way home along the coast to this rest stop where I discover one of the much loved Bufano sculptures.
This photo was taken at a huge colony located on Right Whale Bay where many of the King Penguins were in varying stages of moulting. During moulting the birds can not go to sea. They stand near the stream/water to keep cool.
