The pelvic floor is a group of muscles and tissues that support the pelvic organs and keep them in place. A pelvic floor disorder happens when pelvic floor muscles are weakened or injured, causing discomfort or other problems. Common disorders can cause issues with bladder or bowel control or pelvic organ prolapse. It's important to know that treatments for pelvic floor disorders are available. Talk to your healthcare provider and learn more on the NICHD website: nichd.nih.gov/health/topics/pelvicfloor
