Autumn leaves peel from the stems of nearby trees finding their way onto this porch step of peeling paint. Shot in Wilmington, Vermont on the steps of "Mangia e Beve" with the Olympus E-M1 on October 7, 2016.
Peel shining in the sunshine today. The foreground is St Patrick's Isle where the castle is. The near shore is the result of the causeway built to link the Isle of Man to St Patrick's Isle, creating this lovely little bay.

I will be out of town for a family wedding this weekend. So, I apologize ahead of time if I get behind with comments and such. I'll do what I can to catch up with everyone as soon as I can. I hope all have a fabulous weekend!
A piece of old soap which I kept, just in case. It was originally a peeling soap and had rough little things inside, not sure what they were made of. I placed it on an equally rough bottle with LED Xmas lights inside which became my light table.
The soap is now 1 1/2 " long on either side.

This fence and landscape had such a vintage feel to me. Taken in the town of Mendocino on a rainy day. The rain had stopped long enough for me to get a quick shot of this fence with my cell phone.
Created for Looking Close ....on Friday! - Food Peel
I was having so much trouble trying to upload an image tonight. Flickr refused it 4 times and I finally gave up and chose another raw file and processed that.
Not much to say about this photo. Just a window on a Greek island that i thought it should be okay to post today to follow the Window Wednesday theme. The texture on the weathered wood was somehow fascinating. It's always nice to see and feel the effect of time and weather on anything man made.

Had a chance for a few photos tonight, hoped the sunset would develop but a big bank of cloud came instead!
A bit disappointed to find that my sensor has not been cleaned when the camera was in for its repair!

It just so happens that I have a sheet of thermochromic liquid crystal film from the late 70's. Do you remember Mood Rings? Anyway, it's mostly intact except for a few parts that have peeled off revealing some interesting patterns. It reminds me of a map...

Pell Castle in the sunshine on a cold spring day. From the photo you can't tell that the wind was coming from the north straight from the Arctic! Brr it was cold! Then this evening there was large pea sized hail, snow, thunder and lightening. The ground was whiter than I've seen it all winter! Hopefully that was winter's way of saying goodbye till next time!
