Sometimes a vacation on the beach is not what we would like, but it also shows us another side, calmer, even gray, and no less beautiful.
A stillness and complete peace, perhaps the distant song of some seagulls mixed with the soft rocking of the waves, and it gives us one of those moments where one looks towards the immensity of the sea, to the horizon, without thinking about anything and just enjoying a magical moment.
Why need more?✨

Stair Hole is a small cove located just west of Lulworth Cove in Dorset, southern England. The folded limestone strata known as the Lulworth crumple are particularly visible at Stair Hole. There are several caves visible from the seaward side of Stair Hole; Cathedral Cavern is supported by pillars of rock rising out of the water. The rock structure was created during the Alpine orogeny and exposed by subsequent erosion.

On a bird sanctuary in the south of Sri Lanka you glide leisurely over the lagoon and let nature take effect on you. When the sun goes down, the birds and plants rest. It is all very peaceful.

Mountain View from Ard Michael Cemetery, one of my favourite places to stop and look at the landscape or the coast, the rain clouds were heading in obscuring the mountains but it was so quiet and peaceful there inside the cemetery wall, which is covered in Golden Sea Lichen.
I can't explain how cool it is to experiance these animals. They are so large and so peacefull. There are only 7 that are visiable in the image, however I know that was 1 more behind the group on the right. And if you go about 50 to 60 feet off shore there was another group of 5 or 6.
The Beam Engines at Crofton were used to pump water to keep the Kennet and Avon Canal water flowing. I was hoping for a more colorful sunset...I'll have to try again another time. Nine photos sitched and HDR merged.
Beautiful sunny evening,, flooding water,, springtime is going on, swans have own little "lake",,,food is near,, own peacefull "lake",, but in few days they leave the field and fly to their own nesting places.
Near Strachur I parked the car near the entrance to a forestry track. The track itself was very short and disappointing (ending in a hydro-generator hut and a barbed wire infested wooden bridge leading to a gate expressing the privacy of the road beyond). However behind the hut I found a very faint track leading along the riverbank. I followed it for a while and came across this waterfall beside some very interesting rock formations (I still have to figure out how to safely photograph them). The shot was more rushed than I would have liked as the sheltered, river location meant that the clouds of midges were thick!
