From the solemn and beautiful Cimetière du Vieux Château, the world below unfolds in a breathtaking spectacle. Sunset Point at Promthep Cape — where the sky melts into the sea, and nature whispers peace.
A moment of stillness, wrapped in golden light.
Promethep Cape is visited by tourists for sunset . The views are pretty good here. There is a small lighthouse as well. One can spend a good 30-45 mins here.
Like some people in the south I would like to walk barefoot on the beach in the silence. Every evening, I would like to watch the sun fall into the sea. Here, in the north it is too dark, cold and windy. At the moment the sky is different, it has got a dark yellow colours.

This is a corner of my daughter's garden. I think its a lovely place especially on a summer's evening when the water is flowing and a lot warmer than now. Its still nice at other times too like now with the spring flowers.
The photo was taken ten minuets and forty two seconds after the sunset. Date and time: 2014:06:23 00:10:42. The sunset in Reykjavik was few minuets after midnight, 00.03 and the sunrise was. 02:56. In Iceland the sun hardly sets down during this period. The summer solstice was three days ago and every year it amazes me the almost absence of the night.

Nothing stays forever. The sun will set, the tide will rise, the golden light will fade. Even the stillest moments are always moving — slipping quietly into memory. But that is the gift of nature: it teaches us to pause, to feel, to see. To hold beauty, not by keeping it, but by carrying it within us. Beneath the golden silence, we are reminded — everything passes, and that is why this moment matters.
Frazer Beach sits inside Munmorah State Conservation Area, which protects one of the last remaining stretches of undeveloped coastline on the Central Coast. No resorts, no high-rises, just bush, beach, and the occasional photographer standing on a headland taking landscapes ;)
Fun fact: Beaches “breathe.” As waves push water into the sand and pull it back out again, air is trapped and released between grains, which means the beach is quietly inhaling and exhaling.
