One of the businesses in the town of Pe Ell that does not seem to be making a go of it.
There are conflicting stories about the origin of the name of the town. The more accepted version is that original Native Americans mispronounced the name of one of the early settlers in the area. The town had 632 inhabitants in the 2010 census.

Former Fort Ord building, Monterey County, Ca.
Took a little trip to the former Fort Ord today. This place is immense, and at its peak had as many as 50,000 soldiers stationed there. Though many buildings have been demolished, there are still hundreds of buildings and structures left, with most being allowed to rot. Since the base was closed in 1994, much of the land has been repurposed. The biggest change is probably the establishment of the California State University Monterey Bay.
To see all of the decaying facilities is to get just a bit of a hint of the immense amount of blood and treasure our country has wasted in pursuits of warfare. It should be visited by more people. (No trespassing signs everywhere make it difficult.) And, as immense as this place is, it is only a microcosm of all the waste involved in human bellicosity.

Im Hinterland von Ilo gibt es zwei Kupferminen. Diese werden Täglich mit je einem Zug mit Material versorgt. Die Züge folgen sich innert weniger Minuten durch die Wüste. Hier ist Zug #2 gerade unterwegs "in der Wüste".

...siguiendo la idea de los pendientes que hizo Alia (gracias nena por ser fuente de inspiración) con las juntas tóricas, a falta de las mismas y teniendo estos círculos de plata de dos tamaños hice esta variación sobre el tema....
Esperaré el momento adecuado para hacer algo con las juntas esas que tantas posiblildades le he visto....¿llegará?
Realizados con aros de plata de 20 y 30 mm, semipreciosas e hilo de plata.
