The upper quarry wall seen here consists of interbedded fossiliferous limestones and shales of the Middle Devonian Silica Formation. The fossils are typical mid-Paleozoic marine invertebrates such as brachiopods, bryozoans, corals, crinoids, and trilobites. Below the Silica is the Dundee Limestone, which lacks interbedded shales.

Two downspouts meet. The guywire doesn't seem to be taut enough. The building's embarrassingly short height is disguised by the tall wall at the left. The brown plants are weeds, right?, not ornamentals.
