Many thanks for all the likes and comments on my two images yesterday. Here's another one from the Beeches on Sunday. I don't normally go for a 2x3 ratio for portraits but it would have been a shame to crop off that branch in the top right.
Commended in this years Landscape Photographer of the Year competition and will feature in the accompanying exhibition and book.
Max suddenly regretted picking up the hitchhiker outside Saint Dymphna's Infirmary for the Criminally Insane.

The extra hour yesterday morning meant that I could spend it wandering around a wonderful misty Burnham Beeches before meeting up with my workshop participants. A long day but made rewarding by having a wonderful group of people and some amazing atmospheric conditions.
Inspired by Paul Mitchell's presentation to Storrington CC the previous evening, Liz and I met up for a trip to Slindon Woods for a walk and a play.
We both found plenty to keep us busy.
I know I've already done a triptych for the group, but I wanted to do the same here.
My fave is probably the one in the centre, but on the left is what I first saw. On the right I was photographing this yew tree trunk, when I heard movement just to the left of it. Looking round, expecting a deer, I had to recalibrate my eyes as it was a large hare, just mooching away steadily. I don't think I'd spooked it, and it was such a treat I just watched, rather that trying to move my tripod etc...
