A palm tree in a park in the center of Donetsk.

The entire tree is pattern welded steel. Also called damascus steel, or damask in russian, though it does not come from Damascus.

Pattern Welding : for the life of me i can't remember the order of the Layers.

The Billet is about 1in. Sq x 7.5in.

Detail of the palm tree

Made this some years back ,it's mad because i lost count of the layers in the pattern welding .......it's high hundreds

See the pattern welding?
