shot for life thru a lenz comment group's january assignment, patterns. my first photo taken in 2009 posted to flickr. will be my last photo before i head to hanoi, vietnam for a school trip. hope to bring back great photos from hanoi and halong bay!

first time specially going on the hunt for a monthly assignment. any votes on this page (after the competition has closed and voting has opened) are much appreciated. i may change my entry if i get any better shots on my trip or after that.

Holding Pattern by Canis Major (Steve)

A 6.5m high sculpture near the Middle Entrance at Frenchay Hospital, Bristol by Pete Moorhouse called "Holding Pattern" which represents the hospital staff working together to support patients. This work was commissioned by the NBT National Health Service Trust. However just days before this shot was taken Frenchay Hospital had closed down. Whether this will artwork will be moved to the new Southmead Hospital, which will take over from Frenchay, I don't yet know.

Uni assignment: I went to China as part of one of my units and for the unit I had to do a project reflecting upon my experience in China. I decided to create 3 fabric patterns. I saw a bunch of white pigeons in one of the gardens and I was also really enamoured by the lotus leaves and flowers there. The colours also came from China, they had an odd usage of these bright colours.

This is my favourite, I can imagine it on a scarf.
