This tiny refrigerator magnet has an amazing pattern of scales - plus it has the rubbery feel of a real fish skin. It is older than the hills - but I still treasure it.

Sometimes things just catch your eye. Corn rows on Matsqui Prairie, Abbotsford, B.C.

Came out one morning last week to find these amazing (and huge) patterns on the roof of my car. Add in some reflected light from my neighbours red brick house - and you can get some pretty interesting effects!

...this tree was growing in the walled kitchen garden at Mottisfont Abbey

Nothing dramatic. I just liked the way the fern curved amongst the other leaves.

I always like patterns in nature, and this rock that was part of a cliff fall really stood out.

Walking through the main square nearby Baixa-Chiado, patterns in the pavement play with one's perspective. A pigeon in the top right sets the scale.

ENG: You can see the roof of the Arminius-Market hall in the Moabit district of Berlin. Here you can eat quite well and delicious. The old building also has many interesting details that you should have seen.

GER: Zu sehen ist das Dach der Arminiusmarkthalle im Berliner Bezirk Moabit. Hier kann man ganz gut und lecker essen gehen. Das alte Gebäude hat auch viele interessante Details, die man mal gesehen haben sollte.

Macro Monday's and the theme of "Unusual Patterns".

This may not be quite an unusual pattern but it is etched on the handle of my torch and I quite like it.

I decided to use the trick of gelling a flash on the side of the torch and doing it twice, Red and Blue. I've done this a few times before for a MM photo and after turning out the lights I set the shutter speed to one second and fired the flash with the Blue gel by pressing the test button and having the one with the Red gel set to slave which would trigger at the same time.
