Cambridge Butterfly

Just enjoying the sacred and beautiful patterns in nature.

Paving, patterns, and piles

This combination appealed to me – the designed and the accidental.

The pattern is called "Holy Jumpsuit Batgirl!" by Figgy's patterns.The fabric is a pique by Robert Kaufman and the aqua check fabric for the flower is by Fabric Finders.. Great pattern,very easy and the pattern itself had this charming sewing machine stitched instruction booklet! I love details like that!

Yellow as far as you can see, broken by a few sparse trees

A rather lackluster exhibition showing a whole lot of blown up print outs of Ernst Haeckels book "Kunstformen Der Natur";

Which you can also see on your desktop because when you download it from here:

The exhibition felt more like an excuse for someone to buy the book..

Anyway, I did like the smaller side ehxibitions of H.P.Berlages water colors, who found inspiration in Haekel's depiction of nature and Hacking Haeckel, which was at the entrance of the space

Location: near Narechenski bani village, Rhodope Mountains.

This was one of the Lilly flowers - the focus was not all that good, so I was having a "little play" in Picasa and quite liked the patterns and colours.

Close up on the male amur leopards marking on his haunch. Love how the pattern changes from the splotches to the more normal patterns on the body.

The pollen has abated and it's getting to be time to attend to the furniture on the deck. When I lined the chairs up yesterday, I didn't bargain for how much I would enjoy watching the soft early morning light on the repeating patterns.
