Good subject to photograph in black & white. Shooting color scenes in BW requires one to see the shapes, texture to decide the composition. For this shot I had to travel like 100 meters from home :-).

My personal reference for tangle patterns collected and documented with the help of my mom Jill, also a tangle-queen. Follow this LINK for more information and to DOWNLOAD your own copy! emilyhoutz.blogspot.com/2013/12/my-tangle-tool-box-and-re...

Changed this from 'Compass' to 'Whereto' as there is an official Tangle called Compass.

Revised pattern as the original instructions didn't work.

Try to stay out of the pattern..!

"Oh! nature's noblest gift—my gray-goose quill!

Slave of my thoughts, obedient to my will,

Torn from thy parent-bird to form a pen,

That mighty instrument of little men!"

– Lord Byron, 'English Bards and Scotch Reviewers' (1809).

"The question of whether a computer is playing chess, or doing long division, or translating Chinese, is like the question of whether robots can murder or airplanes can fly -- or people; after all, the "flight" of the Olympic long jump champion is only an order of magnitude short of that of the chicken champion (so I'm told). These are questions of decision, not fact; decision as to whether to adopt a certain metaphoric extension of common usage."

– Noam Chomsky, 'Powers and Prospects' (1996).

I love Autumn! This is one of my favorite color palettes! I found this awesome tissue gift wrap paper at Tuesday Morning.

The mountain are mostly bare rock and earth so when the wind blows, the snow is blown away leaving a regular criss cross pattern of white and grey.

This shows how tiles fit underneath but it's going to be a headache to connect it to regular studs, because it has an extra 2/5 of a stud width every four studs. I'll figure something out or go insane trying. :-)

trying to stick to a colour scheme for a month, or at least for a few designs... Autumn has just begun in Australia and it's started getting windy and rainy... not that these patterns really reflect that, but i thought the colour scheme would be nice for this time of year
