I was sat under an umbrella near the cafe in the concourse, sucking the warmth back into my freezing fingers and hoping that nobody would notice I wasn't a paying patron.
A few miles away from Orvieto, facing the rock of Orvieto, you find the Abbey of Saints Severo and Martirio (11th century), an old Benedictine monastery. The church has small but beautiful frescoes and a cosmati pavement.
Cosmati is a style of geometric decorative inlay stonework typical of Medieval Italy, and especially of Rome and its surroundings. It was used most extensively for the decoration of church floors.
The name derives from the Cosmati, the leading family workshop of marble craftsmen in Rome who created such geometrical decorations.

These are my favorite pajama pants. They're silk, and have this lovely Chinese-ish pattern on them. Even though I think they're from Anthropologie.
2015 has already proved to be tumultuous, so why not extend my 365 to December 31st, right? Welp, I've decided to! I've taken pictures consistently for the last half of 2014, but I feel like I could benefit from a fresh start and a new purpose. Here we go...

A 6.5m high sculpture near the Middle Entrance at Frenchay Hospital, Bristol by Pete Moorhouse called "Holding Pattern" which represents the hospital staff working together to support patients. This work was commissioned by the NBT National Health Service Trust. However just days before this shot was taken Frenchay Hospital had closed down. Whether this will artwork will be moved to the new Southmead Hospital, which will take over from Frenchay, I don't yet know.
