Emperor Dragonfly (Anax imperator) male.
Another capture from my latest encounter with the emperor of dragonflies. I was looking for interesting compositions to highlight the design patterns of this fascinating creature. I liked how this one turned out, except perhaps the harsh reflections of the flash on the wing. Maybe I should have positioned the flash more to the left (I had it on a bracket)...
