Once, there was a girl who wandered through crystallized pathways; these pathways were filled with unknown mysteries which reached out to her - some grasped her wrists and pulled her away in different directions. Some pathways seemed to overflow with such grace and she was hypnotized as she turned away to go on her way. Her heart wrenched away, yet she kept walking forward, the ice numbing her feet as she stepped forward. Her eyes grew wide at the sight of haunting magnificence and she fought against the truest will of her heart as she wandered - the icicle crystals growing up all around her, caging her in this distant, troubled place of horrid darkness. Yet, as she walked forward, the ice pricked her arms, leaving her aching and drowning in mistaken decisions. The crushing pain of her shattered chest screamed out at her as if there were windows above her that had fractured into a thousand sharp, yet delicate pieces and fell upon her weak and seemingly hopeless heart.
She longed for a place where such pathways wouldn’t leave her heart scarred -- persuasion and greed left to guide her way through the darkening pathways. The walls of the most transparent and iridescent ice became sturdier as her heart willed itself to remain at a distance from the pathways. Yet, still, the pathways became evermore envious and overflowed with the ferocity of lions.
She grasped at hope with all of her strength as she fought her way through the darkening pathways that attempted to succumb her full force with twisted words of delicate poetry and words of persuasion that called out to her, calling her in. Yet, just as she stepped towards the pathway, she saw the darkness and closely examined her weary and delicate heart. Before time took it’s toll, she stepped backward, her heart beating heavily as she stepped back.
Once, there was a girl who wandered through an icy world, her heart heavy and delicate. She grasps hope with all of her strength, and the heavy walls that stand around her keep her heart safe from the beckoning pathways. Yet, she keeps her eyes open for the truest pathway where darkness is far from touching her frail heart.

Artists Lee and Jill Brewster have worked with the local community to develop and exciting artwork for the newly designed Holgate Moor Doorstop Green, which included the development of a new play area and sensory garden. Pathways features five uprights made from European Oak, which vary in height from 1m to 2.5m, creating a unique and contemporary entrance to the park. Each upright is carved with imagery showing the pathways through the different environments in and around the housing estate. This imagery was developed with young people and residents, following on from education workshops and consultation undertaken by the artists, so that it would have a relevance and meaning for the local people.

Sale Water Park is a 152-acre (62 ha) area of countryside and parkland including a 52-acre (21 ha) artificial lake in the Metropolitan Borough of Trafford in Greater Manchester, England. Opened in 1979 and owned by Trafford council, the water park lies in an area of the green belt running through the Mersey river valley between Sale and Stretford, located between the river and the M60 motorway. The lake was formed in the 1970s by the flooding of a gravel pit which had been excavated to provide material for the construction of an embankment to raise the motorway 34 feet (10 m) above the Mersey's floodplain. The pit was excavated to a depth of around 115 feet (35 m), making the lake about 90 feet (27 m) deep in places.
The land occupied by the water park was formerly within the grounds of Sale Old Hall, demolished in 1920. All that remains of the hall today is its former lodge, now the club house for Sale Golf Club and its dovecote, which has been restored and relocated to the nearby Walkden Gardens.
Sale Water Park provides important recreational facilities and wildlife reserves, as well as forming part of the flood defences for this part of Trafford.
