Pathways Spiritual Sanctuary is a quiet place to spend time walking, sitting, contemplating, reflecting or healing in the natural landscape of an eighty-acre private ranch in the sacred Black Hills of South Dakota.
Upon entry into the outdoor sanctuary, visitors are greeted by sculptor Buck McCain's monumental bronze, The Invocation. A one-mile pathway through the forest and meadow will lead to other inspirational sculptures, hand-hewn benches and a meditative labyrinth.
The theme of Pathways Spiritual Sanctuary is "Beyond Belief." Pathways is a place that is open for all who choose to come; a place that is beyond the diversity of beliefs, race, religion, cultures, personal histories and life experiences.
Pathways Spiritual Sanctuary is founded on the virtues of love, compassion, tolerance and forgiveness. Within the Sanctuary all can walk as one and honor the sacredness of life and Mother Earth.
Open daily from 8:00 until dusk through October 15th

I climbed up on the roof and took this photo. The last five to six meters up to the upper yard is out of the frame.
There are approximately 1400 stones in the pathway. The height difference from the street to the upper yard is two floors, which means about 5 meters. That's why I needed so curvy a path.

We climbed up to the church and bell tower just visible in the distance on the hill top, but it was closed.
Skiathos Town.
Negative. Chain. Necklace . Beginning and end, here we go. The chain leads to a necklace, what this necklace does is something nothing else can do, it helps me be who I am, it resembles life. Wings because I can fly, Jagged ends because its ruff, jewels because its not replaceable. It is the most valuable thing. This is my life. Its negative. Life is hard and you just have to pick yourself back up off the ground when it gets ruff. Fly when you need to get away and life your life like how it was supposed to be lived. Follow the chain, it is your destiny. It will be hard, the road will be ruff, your wings will fade and you will break down, you just need to power through everything and become who you were made to be.
I see this path every day, so I decided to snap a photo of it today. It always seems to invite me to walk or ride a bike to see what's at the end.

Visitor entrance to Kenilworth Castle. A castle was established here in the 12th century by Geoffrey de Clinton, and subsequent owners included John of Gaunt, Henry V and Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester. The latter entertained Elizabeth I here. It was once at the centre of a huge hunting ground and was surrounded by a lake.
I've been a bit lost lately when it comes to photography. Frustrated with simple things like getting the right exposure and white balance when I'm out shooting, post-processing, and other basics. I only have a UV filter, and have been reading up that other types will help get the shot I'm looking for (depending on what I'm shooting, of course). I also still only own one lens, and I'm finding out more and more how I do need to expand my gear soon.
I went scouting for a new location for March's collaboration photo, and I think this place is it. A lot of character, and a bit of a refreshing site than my usual location.
It's been one crazy month. Haven't had much time to even think up a great concept due to the fact I'm moving 800+ miles away within the next two weeks. But with that, a new location means a fresh start with photography, and it also means I am definitely going to begin a 365 once I settle in.

Looks can be deceiving in Niagara Falls! Even without the snow it gets pretty chilly, but so worth the walk!
