A pathway which lead us to Prague Castle

What very mysterious things days were. Sometimes they fly by, and other times they seem to last forever, yet they are all exactly twenty-four hours. There's quite a lot we don't know about them.

One of the first patients we met in Angola, was an 11 year old boy suffering from hydrocephalus. His neurological functions were degrading quickly, so Dr. Foster decided it was necessary to implant a shunt in the boy's skull to relieve the intracranial pressure.
When the surgery is finished, the shunt will drain into the child's abdomen, but it will be completely hidden beneath the skin. Here, Dr. Foster carefully inserts a metal rod into the abdominal incision, and threads it beneath the skin to create a pathway for the shunt all the way down from the boy's neck.

Directed by Mogcat, it was completed over a 10-day period, covering 6,000 miles. The video features talented Vancouver actress Julia Mauro Cooper.

Just up I-70 in the Genesee Pk area is a Buffalo over look plus some hiking trails and this is where I went for the day. Didn't see the Buffalo but they have a huge area to roam.

As we come closer to bluebells showing their full glory, I have been looking back at past bluebell images that I hadn`t uploaded before to inspire even myself to get back out there and snap away.
Pathways are tricky as they could lead to places you don't want to visit. Be sure you know where you're headed.
Images that are mainly monochrome allow the eye to enjoy the interplay of light without the distraction of many colours. And not all monochrome images need to be black and white, IMHO.

Without the Pathway this would be so much less yet where does it lead us? Simply a short distance and then loses us among the trees. Yet in someway the end of the path give us the point from which we look upward and examine the tracery of snow-covered branches before returning via the trunks to the starting point. An interesting tonal range too sets this one apart. This image has a fairy – tale quality to it and I find myself thinking of the Brothers Grimm and maybe expecting hobgoblins to pop out from among the trees. Somewhere it played on my emotions and captured my imagination from the start.
Received an honours award in the projected image competition number 6 at CPS, October 2009. I have also made this into a triptich of three canvases about two meters long overall.
