I decided that it's time to change it up a little and let the light do its magic and guide me this morning. Ben Long has given the assignment to photograph light in one of his lessons and this is my attempt at that today. The macro lens finally came off my camera and I will play and see things again.

The weather hasn't been up to impress me lately so decided to have a go at another one from my trip to Scotland. This is just captured on from the path strolling back from where my long exposure experiment took place.

The popularity of Bude as a seaside resort dates from Victorian times. Crooklets and Summerleaze beaches have extensive flat sands when the tide is out, and these Atlantic-pounded beaches have been described by Australian surfers as the "Bondi of Britain."
Took this shot ready for one train in a 20 second exposure, then out of nowhere the second train came from under the bridge.
(YES I was awake) as he was on his way to work and told me to get down to the beach as the sun was just coming up and it was spectacular.
Into my little mini and 30 seconds later I was down at the beach.
So it was just me, the shags/kittywakes/crows/gannets and this blazing ball of sun coming up over the horizon.
Sea as flat as a mill pond, very little wind and a scene like something out of Dante's inferno.
