Another picture from Mana / Örbäcken nature reserve this foggy and chilly day. Normally at this time of year we usually have snow but we have not got any at all this year.
As evening falls, a Buddhist monk ascends the steps of Wat Saket in Bangkok, Thailand. Sorry to mix Robert Plant and Paul McCartney lyrics but it would seem that, at least on this day, the Stairway to Heaven was The Long and Winding Road :) And we won't even talk about Nirvana :) Thanks for viewing! See you around the bend :)

It’s your path and you are alone in the night time and lead their lights. Always keep forward while you have legs.
I might be making a mistake, but I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be the path to the Tjäktjatjåkka glacier. Like most glaciers we saw this past summer it's been extremely damaged by global warming.
This was the hike along the Stuor Reaiddavággi, connecting the Vistasvagge valley and the Tjäktjapasset mountain pass.

Location: Fiemel, I think the most north-eastern part of Groningen, the Netherlands. On the other side - horizon here - lies Emden, Germany.
Fiemel is a hamlet in the municipality of Delfzijl, the Netherlands. It lies at the east of Termunten, directly on the Ems, at the beginning of de Punt van Reide, the extreme northeastern tip of the province Groningen.

The light is the great equalizer whether gracing an opulent adobe or an abandoned, neglected structure...
This image was taken towards the end of November and depicts a path surrounded by woodland and mist.
I've visited this particular location many times before. During this exploration I had another attempt, helped by the mist and lighting conditions I was able to capture something that I hoped could be different.
After leaving it for just over a month I decided to edit this image. The idea in mind was to create a moody scene that used the lighting and the mist to enhance this. Basically I wanted to do something that I had not tried for this scene before. After scrolling down the pre-sets that I had both created and collected over the years, I came across one that would help become the base to realise the idea I had in mind. After some adjustments I was able to create what you see now.
I don't usually do moody landscapes but decide to give it a try.
Explore #457 I took this a while back in Palm Cove on a wonderfully beautiful morning at dawn. I had only just gotten the D300 ( my first DSLR) and I was green....green ..green lol still am really... i didn't shoot in raw and this shot just wasn't happening. I have been wanting to learn more in photoshop so I really understand what I am doing and have asked questions and last night I used a tutorial to process this shot and i am way happier with the results. AND I learnt something lol which is cool ;)) So now I will be tutorialling lol more and more.
The next thing I want to learn it to blend two images into one so to speak, so if anyone has a good tutorial on that I would love to see it........ puleassssssseee :)
It is a dreary overcast and I think it will rain kind of Saturday here, but it is nice and cool and that is a lovely change. I think I will do some cooking today and whip up a storm...I may even take some shots of it if your are lucky lol ;))
Have a great weekend everyone no matter what your plans.... hugs xx Car
