At the Mound-Westonka match - Patrick was advised by the referee (also the skin checker) that he needed to cut his bangs OR he wouldn't wrestle. Patrick - let's keep scissors out of hands from now on, k?

Our friend Pat always puts up lots of Christmas lights with any money donated going to charity. These pictures don't do them justice but the best I could do.
Pat and Dawn were engaged in what could only be described as "coffee talk" (my favorite kind of conversation). I love nothing more than hanging out with a good friend and discussing anything and everything at a cafe. Upon meeting the pair, it was clear that they were having a nice afternoon enjoying each other's company and sharing stories.
Pat was the more talkative of the two. Immediately, she made me feel at ease (after all, I was the bizarre stranger at the cafe!). She told me that her daughter enjoyed photography. She was also kind enough to let me know of a local nature spot that was a good place for nature photography. I will surely make time to visit that place when I can.
I managed to capture a very serious expression on Pat's face. Despite her innate exuberance, she was also a very good listener! Besides, these extra photos I took of them truly describe the fun they seem to have together.
I was very happy to have experienced a warm corner of friendship today at the local Starbucks. Thanks to both of you for humoring me and for being such willing participants in this, my quest! :-)
