The draw for us during the mid- 70's was the use of F units in transfer service between Spokane and Pasco. This train is leaving Pasco for the SP&S mainline to Spokane. Traffic was directional. East bounds routed by SP&S and west bounds used the former Northern Pacific.

Electric Trailers at work.
It was a pleasant surprise to see one of the Electric Trailers still in its Northern Pacific paint let alone original number.
Set in the foreground was on the way to get another cut of cars to send over the Pasco Hump yard.

Working the Pasco hump yard.
BN inherited three Northern Pacific SW1200 master and Electric Trailer slug sets that worked this hump yard. Catching one of the trailers unpainted was quite a pleasant surprise at this date.

An eastbound stack train heads for Pasco through the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge. This was a great start to the day, but the traffic dried right up and it was an unproductive afternoon.
Transfer power that ran between Spokane and Pasco, WA. 9790, a passenger unit, was one of the F7's that BN kept after Amtrak received their own diesels.

Two varieties of BNSF's "Super Fleet" lettering schemes. Took them a bit before settling on the leaders' style of lettering.

A tamed down version of the Burlington's white stripe was picked for the passenger F units and passenger cars. After Amtrak, this one got saved for hauling freight.

BNSF HPASGAL works through Division Street in St. Paul back on 6/7/98. The four EMDs were probably put on this train at Northtown as the GATX/LLPX SD38-2s generally stayed in MN, WI, or IL. Consist was BN 7049, GATX 1243, LLPX 2803, and GATX 1244. The leased SD38-2s were based out of Northtown for many years, until most ended up on IAIS. I think some have moved on from there.
Leader BN 7049 still works for the BNSF as BNSF 1994, but the Western Fruit Express BNFE refers are long gone.

O outro é bom:é a alegria, a paz, a esperança, a serenidade, a humildade,a bondade,a empatia, a benevolência,a generosidade, a verdade, a compaixão e a fé...
O neto pensou naquilo por alguns minutos e perguntou:
Qual o lobo que vence?
E o velho índio simplesmente respondeu: - O que você alimenta.
Uma boa semana a todos e a todas .... Com esperança de novos tempos....
