I’m always looking for different takes on Partners at Disneyland every time I close out there. While I couldn’t get Dale into the photo with this angle, I actually think it’s kinda different just seeing Chip as he admires Walt in the distance.

I have been wanting an opportunity at the shot for quite awhile. It seems there was either some kind of construction or it was just too busy for me to have the patience and stay late to get it. Finally on my last trip I was able to get this. There is still some lingering construction on the left ramp, but it will have to do. I am really excited for this one.

Today, we head over to the Magic Kingdom to one of my most favorite parts of the whole park, The hub! I can sit here for hours and just stare at Cinderella's Castle in awe. This is one shot I make sure I get before leaving the park. What's your special shot that you have to make sure you get before you leave? Have a magical day!

Late night capture of an empty hub.

Second running of the Celebrate the Magic show that night. Such a cool experience.

Sifting through Erin's and my pictures from our trip to Disneyland I found some great shots she took and thought I would share them! Enjoy :)

I was really excited to get back and photograph the 4th of July fireworks show Celebrate America this year at the Magic Kingdom. The heat is unbearable in July, but the photo opportunities are worth it!

WIth the hub and turrets finally being completed, I couldn't wait to see how awesome the turrets looked all dressed up in christmas lights. And man, they did not disappoint. It really ties in well and just gives it an even more grandiose feeling. They did a terrific job with this.

Thanks for looking!

Today's photo tour sends us to the Magic Kingdom for another shot of those awesome fireworks, Happily Ever After. There are so many opportunities to get really great shots during this show. Even if your a novice at shooting fireworks, you will be very pleased on what you see when you go through your shots. Out of a 25 minute show, I was able to get 18 shots that I was very happy with. How many shots do you get that your happy with when shooting fireworks? Have a magical day!

Today's photo tour sends us to the Magic Kingdom for another shot of the Happily Ever After fireworks show. If you time it right, you can get a fair amount of photos during this show. I think I came out with 18 total shots that I was happy with. How many photos do you usually get from a fireworks show? Have a magical day!

It's no small secret that I love Pirates. I love the lore, the music, etc. This was my first time shooting the fireworks, so constructive criticism is always helpful! I wish my lens was wider so there was no cut off parts, but I'm still pretty happy with this for a first time shot!

Major thanks to Natalie Bell for her assistance and patience with me!

CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is always welcome.

Today's photo tour sends us to the Magic Kingdom for the finale shot of the Happily Ever After fireworks show. I think it's safe to say that I am completely satisfied with shooting this show. I was able to come out with 18 solid shots that I was very happy with. Everything just seemed to go perfect that night, from the area I was standing in to the bursting of fireworks in the sky. I couldn't have asked for any better conditions. Have a magical day!

It was 49 years ago today that the world lost one of it's greatest dreamers and doers. December 15th 1966 is still etched in my childhood memories. There are many photos of the "Partners" statue at the WDW-MK Hub but l like the mystery of looking over Walt's shoulder and wondering where he would direct the corporation that bears his name as he looks into the future.

There is no better way to end the night at the Magic kingdom then having it all to yourself. You can appreciate it much better without all the hustle and bustle from the crowds. It's very calm and peaceful and there's no other feeling like it. Have a magical day!

Cinderella’s Castle and the area around the Partners Statue is a lot like a box of Chocolates. You never know what you are going to find til you get to the middle. I have been greeted by everything from construction cranes to a boxed up Partners Statue, but tonight was finally different . The crane was gone and the Partners were out the box and back where they belong.

I don't think I have to tell you how much I love photographing fireworks; I have said it enough. LOL. This was the finale from the fireworks show during the Halloween party. If you're looking for a great place to setup, this is the place to be. There are no light poles and no people obstructing your view. Give it a try next time. Have a magical day!

I was hoping to do one of my usual grand scale panoramas of an empty hub with the Partners Statue and the Castle all dressed in their holiday finery. Unfortunately, people wouldn't leave and there were hundreds of people just milling about, screwing up my grand plan. I had to catch the last shuttle back to my hotel so I couldn't wait around any longer. I decided to just put on my zoom lens and use compression to bring the lights in the trees into nice little balls of light behind Walt and just reconcile with myself that it will have to suffice.

Today's photo tour sends us to the Magic Kingdom for a shot of the Happily Ever After fireworks show. This is such a great show with lots of colorful, bursting fireworks. The projections on the castle are amazing as well but after all, you are dealing with Disney Imaginears, so I wouldn't expect anything less. Does this rank in your top three for Disney shows? Have a magical day!

Today's photo tour sends us back to the Magic Kingdom for another shot of the Happily Ever After fireworks show. Shooting this show for the first time, I didn't know what to expect. I watched a video just so I could get my game plan down of where to shoot. After seeing the video, I was having mixed feeling as to whether it was better then Wishes. After seeing the show in person, my whole opinion changed for the good. It was simply amazing and I can't wait to see it again. Have a magical day!

If you told me that I could only photograph fireworks in Disney, I wouldn't be upset at all. There's a thrill I get when shooting them: Will the shot come out?...Did I get the exposure right?...Will I be happy with what I got? Believe it or not, I rarely think about these questions anymore because I feel that my settings that I choose to use allow for really good attempts of getting the photo right. Now, do all the shots always come out? No but I leave knowing that I will be happy when I look at my photos. Please enjoy and have a magical weekend!

It's nights like this, after the park has closed, that I really enjoy. The people are leaving and it's just me and Cinderella Castle. There are no crowds to make noise and the only sounds that you hear is the music in the background. You cannot see Disney any other time of the day like this; It's very peaceful. As you stand there and watch the Kiss Goodnight, it's very magical. Have a magical day!

Today's photo tour sends us to the Magic Kingdom for another shot of the Happily Ever After Fireworks show. If all that I was able to shoot in Disney were the fireworks, I would be content. There's just a certain satisfaction you get when you come back with that perfect shot. If you could only photograph on thing in Disney, what would it be? Have a magical day!

Today's photo tour sends us to the Magic Kingdom for a shot of the Hub area. This is one of those shots that is always hard to get because if you're like me, you like to linger around that area of the park for as long as you can waiting for the park to clear out. Sometime it's successful and sometimes it's not. It's important not to overstay your stay but if your me you want to get the shot and be on your way. What's the longest time you waited to get this shot? Have a magical day!

Today's photo tour sends us, once again, back to the Magic Kingdom for yet another Happily Ever After Fireworks shot. The view I was able to get from this area was simply amazing. There were no heads in my way, no light poles and that touch of having the Partners statue in the foreground was an added plus. What an amazing view. Have a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend!

Over time, I have talked about how much I really enjoy photographing fireworks. When you're situated in the perfect place to setup, it just makes it even more exciting because you know you're going to get some really amazing shots. This area is my "go-to" spot for fireworks. You have to get there early to save your space but once you have it, it's awesome. Where do you setup for the fireworks? Have a magical day!

Late night 5 shot HDR bracket of the castle dream lights

Here's a shot I took of The Partners statue at closing. You may ask why I cropped out Walt's and Mickey's feet. The answer, there were too many people in my photo and we all know how I feel about that...LOL. How many of you out there wait for the perfect picture? Have a great day!

Do pictures of fireworks during blue hour ever get old? No, I think not. This was taken July 3rd, and is four shots layered on one another for greater depth of fireworks. Happy Friday!

Today's photo tour sends us back to the Magic kingdom for a shot of the new fireworks show, Happily Ever After. This show was absolutely amazing. I have never seen such vibrant color fireworks in my life. The projections on the castle were really awesome as well. As much as I miss Wishes, this new show is comparable if not better. Have a magical day!

Today's photo tour sends us to the Magic Kingdom for yet another fireworks shot from the Happily Ever After show. That night, I was able to capture 18 really decent shots and one of the reasons was that this show, in my opinion, has more firework bursts then wishes. The patterns are different and the colors are different making it more easier to get a good shot if you miss a few others. Please enjoy and have a magical day!

There's nothing better than spending time at Disneyland during the holidays.

This shot was always a challenge for me to get. Unless you're one of the absolute last guests out of the park, there is always a party that either lingers in front of the castle, or hangs out by the Partners Statue... I got this shot around 1:45AM and I had to wait around quite a bit for some stragglers to move out. I'm glad I made the wait and got the shot that I wanted... But that meant that security was on my back the whole way shooting down Main Street.. :)

OK....First of all, I don't think I've posted a Disney fireworks shot in over 6 months, which must be some sort of record for me. Between work and family, it's been almost impossible to get down to the park lately, and even when I finally managed to make it over there with the Greenings and Gregg Cooper recenlty, the fireworks were cancelled due to the Monstrous Summer thing they had going on.

So if felt GREAT to be back in the park last Sunday night looking for a spot to shoot from. I first considered shooting from New Orleans Square, but by the time I arrived, it was wall to wall bodies camped out for Fantasmic, so I headed back to the hub. When I tried shooting from the hub last year, the entire section on both sides of the Partners Statue had been blocked off for priority seating. But THIS year, only the front was blocked off so I began looking for a spot. I spotted a family munching away on Turkeylegs sitting directly in front of Partners, and I hovered nearby, like a vulture, waiting for them to leave. They finally finished their dinner and I swooped in with my tripod and set up hardly able to believe I found such a great spot only 40 minutes before the show.

The shot above isn't a Tom Bricker style 120 second exposure, but merely a 6 second exposure with a few tweaks from CS6 and Nik Efex.

I'm also hoping to pick up the pace a bit this Summer and get around to posting a bit more and viewing all of your photo streams. Things may bet quiet again for the next two weeks as I will race around from Page AZ to Yosemite to Tahoe and possibly over to San Francisco again before flying back to Virginia and DC to visit some friends. But after I return I hope to get back to posting more than one shot per week.

Not to long ago, I had found the perfect place to setup for an awesome, unobstructed view of the fireworks and Cinderella Castle. With that said, If it weren't for a very special off duty cast member who shared her spot with me, I wouldn't have been able to shoot from there and get the shots I did and for that, I am very thankful. Please enjoy and have a magical weekend!

Today's photo tour sends us back to the Magic Kingdom for another shot of those "out of this world" fireworks, Happily Ever After. Watching this show is like watching one amazing display of color after the other. Again, I will say that I miss Wishes but this show has allowed me to miss it just a little less. How do you feel on the subject? Have a magical day!

Even though it all started with a mouse, it all started from a man. What he has given us to this day has been quite incredible. So thank you, Walt.

Today's photo tour sends us back to the Magic Kingdom for yet another Happily Ever After fireworks shot! I got very lucky in the spot I was able to get during the show. Most of the time I am forced to edit out all the light posts so they don't mess up my photo. This time, I had such a clear shot that I had not one light pole to edit out. Please enjoy and have a magical weekend!

Today's photo tour sends us back to the Magic Kingdom for another Happily Ever After Shot. You guys know how much I love to shoot fireworks because I say it enough. LOL. To me, these kinds of shots require very little editing, if any. I hope everybody has a magical weekend!

I know it has been done before, but I just love the Partners view of Disneyland's Main Street during Christmastime. Looks like there will be no Garland hanging across Main Street this year due to the height of some of the Paint The Night Parade floats. My first instinct is to say that I am going to miss the Garland, but I didn't even notice its absence until I got home and started looking through my pictures. Guess it didn't bring that much to the Christmas Decoration table.
