THIS is my very first attempt at creating a 3D object and incorporating it into a photo. I'm sure a couple years from now I'll look back on this photo and cringe at how amateur it looks, but for now I'm pretty excited at this first step into a new stage of my photography and all the possibilities it opens up!

CP 281 has 5 EMDs on point as they Thunder past the crowd at Duplainville. This was a great chase up from Milwaukee that culminated with perfect light at Duplainville. Now these SD60s are relegated to points south on the CPKC system.

well we just partied for the whole weekend here and the time was filled lots of live music, a couple of great decks sessions, drinking (obviously) and a specially written 2 part play...this was warren and mark providing some great entertainment though warren seemed to be having a little difficulty in keeping it together...

Smile on Saturday: Lit by candlelight
I used two large (pillar) and four small (votive) candles. Most were on the "Let's party" side of the glasses, but I found that moving one close to the other side created more interesting light and shadows on the arms. I compensated for how it over-lit the front with some vignetting.

A reimagining of a garden party at Hobbiton in the North Island of New Zealand. Bilbo's Party tree is at the far left on the horizon ( the smaller one) Bag End Hobbit Hole in the middle ground and a lady dressed in her whites, with camera is strolling along on her way to a party on a summer's day. And just to add to the madness of party time, a orangutan is hanging off a small tree.
All part of the beauty of New Zealand. NZ residents must surely be holding a party after their excellent medal tally in the Paris summer Olympics. HMMM :))
