As the people in the earthquake ravaged borough of Bexley in Christchurch were going to get a government payout at around the same time and would quickly be moving to numerous different destinations they decided to organise a giant garage sale and a street party.
I went to the garage sale and speaking to the residents found a lot were heading off to Australia; probably to get away from the possibility of earthquakes in New Zealand.
This sign was found after most of the residents had departed.

Smile on Saturday: Lit by candlelight
I used two large (pillar) and four small (votive) candles. Most were on the "Let's party" side of the glasses, but I found that moving one close to the other side created more interesting light and shadows on the arms. I compensated for how it over-lit the front with some vignetting.
In the Sakura - Kyoto botanical gardens. To eat, to paint, to sit and meditate and heaven knows what else goes on amongst the cherry blossom!!!

I attended a 21st Birthday Party recently and we all got dressed up in masks. Some were pandas, some were pirates but most wore masks with feathers. I wore my mask on the top of the head as it interfered with my glasses & camera. But I thought JT was looking great with black top hat and tails. For Smile on Saturday theme of Selective Multicolours. Also for Definitely Dreaming theme (a long time ago) of celebration.

Built for a contest on Forbiddencove.com, in which the idea is to build a costume party. I had a lot of fun with all the fig activity on this build.
A costume party is getting lively at the port of Hampton, but not all the participants are simply there for fun, as a few pirate scoundrels take advantage of their disguises to pull off a heist.
