The changes of colors in the forest are impressing.

The Metropolitan Natural Park is one of the few tropical dry forests on the Pacific Coast. It is home to a rich biodiversity. There have been recorded about 284 species of trees, 45 species of mammals, 254 species of birds, reptiles and amphibians.

Desde lo más alto del icónico Cerro San Cristóbal podemos apreciar con claridad prácticamente toda el área urbana de Santiago y sin ningún dejo de discriminación: podemos ver desde los grandes y acristalados edificios emplazados en lo que se denomina como el Barrio Financiero de la ciudad (compuesto esencialmente por el Barrio El Golf y sus extensiones naturales, que son Apoquindo y Nueva Las Condes) hasta barrios más alejados del centro y que son el hogar de la pujante clase media santiaguina (y chilena) como es el caso de Maipú, La Florida o Puente Alto y también pasando por el centro del poder político - administrativo (que tiene al Palacio de La Moneda como su epicentro) y zonas industriales - logísticas que están en proceso de reconversión como lo está experimentando la comuna de Estación Central.

En esta fotografía, tenemos al denominado triángulo histórico de la ciudad como gran protagonista, comenzando (por el borde inferior) por la zona del hermoso Barrio Bellas Artes y para luego terminar en lo que son los actuales barrios industriales de Cerrillos y que están en torno al Camino a Melipilla y la Autopista del Sol.

Una tarde justo antes de la lluvia, casi sin luz... fotografía como una búsqueda que nos permite ver el mundo que nos rodea de manera diferente y en cierto sentido sorprendente. Esto sin ninguna pretensión de asumir al acto u objeto fotografiado como arte, ni tampoco como la búsqueda sublime de la originalidad.

The new financial district of Santiago is very impressive from one -and very quiet- of the roads placed at the Metropolitan Park of Santiago. On the left, we can find the Titanium building, the second tallest tower in Santiago, with 192 metres of height, and in the right, we can see the Gran Santiago 300, part of the Costanera Center complex, and the tallest building in southern hemisphere.
