They say you should never meet your heroes, but I can say that's not true in the case of working with ~virtualgurrrl~. I had a wonderful time taking some great pics and hope we can work together again soon!

There's a whole article about this shoot on my blog, The SLuggle

We took this pic at Uri Jefferson's Freakshow

The same window as yesterday, but looking the opposite direction. A Gettysburg rental home where we stayed at Thanksgiving a few years ago. Pre Civil War house with mostly period furnishings.

Castlemaine to Maldon oil-burning Steam Train ... the expensive end :))

A settler's organ sits in the parlor of a pioneers home in Burritt on the Mountain in Huntsville, Alabama.

With some other stock in Honesdale, PA that seems to be connected to a tourist railroad. I do not know if it is in use or stored. The trackage was once the Erie railroad but I do not know which railroad this car came from.

Rohoboth Beach, DE in July

It doesn’t really seem the least bit sinister, this old parlor. Until you take a closer look….

Johanna is enjoying her book while listening to music on the victrola. A relaxing way to spend the evening at home.

Blythe a Day - 3/2/23 - old stuff day

The victrola was a Salvation Army find a few months ago. I touched up the paint a little bit. The armchair was from another thrift store several years ago. I thought about recovering it (but I'm too lazy) and I'm glad I never did because it works here for an old parlor type setting.

Mack & Manco is an iconic pizza parlor on the Ocean City, NJ boardwalk. It is THE place to have pizza in the summer time in OCNJ, and the lines are long to enjoy their delicacy. I've wanted to snap a good click of this place for a while, and I got my chance tonight.

Thank you for stopping by~! Summer is here!

The once elegant parlor was once painted a dusty color of pink. A charming light hangs in a tangle and the shell of an old radio remains standing among the falling plaster.

Heber Valley Railroad 2936 is a restored vintage 56-seat passenger coach originally built by the Budd Company for the New York Central. The car was later converted to a 28-seat parlor car for use on Chessie steam specials, and later on the Morristown & Erie.

The car was recently repainted in D&RGW inspired livery. All stainless steel surfaces were restored and polished by hand. The car will offer premium seating on a high-end streamlined passenger train, with an option for cheese and wine tasting.

Thank you very much for your comments and faves, regretfully, I am finding it increasingly difficult to reply to your comments, because of my very limited time on the internet, due to constant power interruptions in South Africa. I do read and appreciate every one of them, however! Thanks again!!

The perfect setting for a New Years day stroll: part of the Pequonnock River water falls seen from the Parlor Rock trail. The light and shadows on the moss, trees and water was just so beautiful, I wanted to share it with all of you. Happy New Year everyone!
