One day in June, a little sparrow chicken fell on my balcony. Feeling so hopeless about what I can actually do for the children of Palestine, I decided I was going to at least save this little chicken. Goddamnit, I was gonna save this sparrow for all the children in Gaza. This took on a deeper meaning for me. So I made a little nest out of what I had lying around; a shoebox, a T-shirt and some woolen socks. I researched what sparrow chickens might eat and provided what I thought would be appropriate. Chopped hazelnuts. Water. Dried-up bread. But I had read that sparrow younglings would be better off with insects provided to them by their parents, so this was making me despair a little. I placed the box on my balcony. Hoping for the best. The next day, I could observe the chicken being fed insects by both parents. They were providing. I let them in peace. A couple of days later, the sparrow was gone. I hope you are flying free, little one.
I spent the weekend with my dad and the weather was so beautiful that we spent 90% of our time on his back deck. Very nearby is this little wren house hanging in a maple tree. Early Saturday morning, about 6am, I grabbed my coffee and headed out to revel in the 60 degree weather. At about 6:15am the mommy and daddy wren started to work feeding their babies. In and out, in and out with one different insect after another. I watched them all throughout the day and after supper that evening we went back out on the deck and they stayed at it until about 8pm or so. Also, throughout the day and especially in the morning, not only are they carrying in insects but they are carrying out baby poo...lol. I don't know if it comes out this way or if the parents are packing it into shape but it looks like a tiny white pillow...lol. I have a whole new respect for the little house wren. View On Black

This is my parents computer, they've had it since 2000, with some various upgrades, once every few weeks they need me to come by and repair it or reinstall Windows.. It's such a piece of trash that it won't even let me install Linux on it, it halts at the beginning of the installation screen. If they had the money (and weren't a farming family) they would plan on trashing that piece of junk for something newer.
I believe the specifications of the computer are:
17" CRT Panasonic screen
1.8Ghz Athlon XP processor
256mb ram
60GB HD
DVD burner and DVD rom drive (that doesn't work, I'm trying to get it to open now to get out my sister's Sims game)
A busted Microsoft Optical mouse that has loose wires so it disconnects every so often, and the right button doesn't work.
A Microsoft keyboard (all the keys in the number pad don't work)
Actually before the upgrades, and with Windows 98.. it was more stable than now! wow lol

Impressionen der zweiten Woche in unserem Sommer-FerienCamp 2016
Ferienlager-Angebot auf dem Erlebnisbauernhof: In den Sommerferien 2016 veranstaltete die DAO KungFu Kindergruppe das traditionelle Sommer-FerienCamp für abenteuerlustige Jungen und Mädchen bereits zum siebten Mal in Folge. In der zweiten und dritten Sommerferien-Woche ging es wieder auf den Ferlhof, einen idyllischen Kunst- und Erlebnis-Bauernhof nördlich von München. Dort verbrachten wir mit den Kindern eine spannende Zeit, umgeben von viel Natur und den Tieren des Bauernhofs. Auf der Web-Site www.camp.daokungfu.de findet Ihr alles Wissenswerte rund um unsere Ferienfahrt.
Mit diesem Fotostream möchten wir den Teilnehmern, deren Eltern und Freunden sowie allen Interessierten einen Einblick in unsere Aktivitäten geben.
