I used to go to Paramus Park a lot when I was little for some reason. It got a nice redesign a few years back after the Garden State Plaza had a huge makeover.
I don't know why it's called "park".
This is My submission for Get Pushed Round 33.
My challenger, D. Travis North (check out his stream here: www.flickr.com/photos/33611640@N04/)
Challenged me to:
"I want you to find a public space where you can set up a tripod. Pick a setting or a scene that you know will have some people moving through it (or sitting, or so on). I want you to take several frames so that you have a series of photographs with different people in the same setting - by themselves, as a crowd or what-have you. Then you're going to make a merge of a number of them (you don't have to use them all) to create a much more crowded scene."
This push was kind of tricky for me. I had a really hard time finding a public enough place that had exactly the right amount of traffic BUT was not already crowded. Everywhere I could think of in NYC was just jam packed to start with. Eventually I found a nice quiet corner in the food court of the Paramus Park Mall and set up shop.
No image in this stack has more than 4 people in it. Some people are used a few times because the bottom and left side of the frame is not traveled as heavily as the top half.

They top it with WHIPPED CREAM (and a cherry if you want). Because that's what a milkshake needs.
Thick and tasty, but way too big. I mean, not as big as some other places, but still..biiig..

The chunk of bread was surprising. THERE'S ALREADY BREAD...IN THE SANDWICH. And as far as I know, they don't make sandwiches with baguettes. The bread is REALLY GOOD...if it's fresh, at least. Thin, crackly crust, soft smooshy innards. That's my favorite.

This fountain is a 1960's remnant in a modernized mall. The white shape is a compass 'needle' pointing north. The four copper plates on the rim are the N, S, E, W direction symbols. It's nice to have a compass in this place where you can easily lose your sense of the outside world.
My mum brought her laptop since they have free wifi and the internet wasn't working in our house.
It's so cute! Ehehehe.
