The surface of this lens, part of my everyday glasses, is clearly imperfect. Just like the rest of me. The paradox is that I can see what is not imperfect. In fact, I believe I can "see" what is infinite, perfect, eternal. Sometimes, I feel visually hit by the truth. How can the imperfect perceive what is perfect? Natural light, 7Artisans manual lens at F8 plus a 16mm macro extension tube. Edited in Fuji's raw converter and refined in Luminar.

A paradox of triangles. Paradox is an official Zentangle pattern by Rick Roberts. Here I've arranged eight triangles in circular form and drew each one separately to end with this pattern.

What is the best camera? The one you have in your hand -- paraphrased from numerous old wise men. Note what I am holding to take this image. ;0)

The summit of Punta Hellbrunner at 3466 m is reached by the Sky Way Monte Bianco cable car from Courmayeur (Italy) and provides impressive panoramic views of the Mont Blanc massif.

The sharp peak in the center is the famous Dent du Geant (Giant's Tooth), height 4013 m.

“One must not think slightingly of the paradoxical…for the paradox is the source of the thinker’s passion, and the thinker without a paradox is like a lover without feeling: a paltry mediocrity.”

― Søren Kierkegaard

Inaugurated in 2017 for Le Havre’s 500th anniversary celebrations, Vincent Ganivet’s Catène de Containers has rapidly become one of the city’s most iconic sites, and has even been dubbed ‘Le Havre’s Eiffel Tower’. It is a work of incredible paradoxes, the metallic giants giving off an unalterable impression of lightness. Their hard right angles are defied, alleviated by the curves of the structure. The containers, usually lined up on the cargo ships or neatly stacked on the quays, are upended here. As if seized by a frantic desire for freedom.

Have you give it a try? I must tell you that since I came to Chicago I wanted to get this image underneath the train trucks, people and car free, but for obvious reason I wasn’t able to. And believe me I tried. As much as I hate what is going on around us for the past couple of months capturing this image made me really happy. Always looking for the little things we can hang on to! What do you think?

The Singel is one of the canals of Amsterdam that surrounded Amsterdam in the Middle Ages, serving as a moat around the city. The Singel is now the innermost canal in Amsterdam's UNESCO World Heritage Canal Ring.

The Singel is lined by many beautiful, richly decorated canal houses built during the Dutch Golden Age.

The paradox of the night owl: artistic, smarter than the average bear, but more sedentary and prone to sicknesses than your regular old Joe or Jill. I guess that's why the bluesmen coined the phrase, "the night life, it ain't no good life, but it's my life." Now I'm off to bed.

some periods of life—especially during grief—are both vibrant and heavy; clear and foggy; wondrous and weird. sometimes the reflections are blurred, and yet: there’s still so much beauty. and so much love.

"The enigma is that my body simultaneously sees and is seen. That which looks at all thigs can also look at itself and recognize, in what it sees, the "other side" of its power of looking. It sees itself seeing; it touches itself toucing; it is visible and sensitive to itself." Maurice Merleau-Ponty

There is something so very paradoxical about sprinting through knee deep snow, desperately trying to make a composition in perfect photographic conditions... I would have loved to be a bystander for those oh so very frantic five minutes before sunset.

The lake was named because it's outlet to the Schroon River reverses flow to become an inlet in times of flood on the river. But on this morning, the evaporating water from the lake that would turn back into a fog of water droplets, would seem to be the more appropriate paradox. Nothing intrigues a photographer more than fog, I think, and perhaps it is the slow reveal. Somewhere, away from here, the sun rose bold and red; at the shoreline, I had to be content to know it was daybreak as clouds high above lit up and reflected in the lake. Nothing could have pleased me more.

Long expsoure photography

Time is the most undefinable yet paradoxical of things; the past is gone, the future is not come, and the present becomes the past even while we attempt to define it, and, like the flash of lightning, at once exists and expires.

He looked at her in fascination. Not only that the elven ears contributed to his confusion, but the scenery itself was so surreal. There was the dawn light, playing with her hair, while other parts of her body almost merged with the shadows, the black moon circle and the lion inked tattoo building a nice contrast with her otherwise soft skin and the feathers that accompanied her every step. And last but not least those fiery red eyes piercing out of her innocently face features. "Paradox", he whispered in awe, cause that´s what she was, everything at once, the possible and impossible combined. And that little voice in his head warned him that this didn´t only apply for her apparel, but also for her character. She was trouble, he knew it, but so worth the try.

I had a hard time choosing which version to upload, since I also did a black and white one, as well as one with higher contrast. In the end I decided for this one cause all in all it looks softer.
