It seemed paradoxical to see this lumber, with its growth rings, about to be used to grow a home for a family. Just an observation...
On a country road, driving by endless open prairie farmland, I saw this sign. Chuckling to myself, I stopped the car, backed up and photographed it. Happy Smile Saturday
Description of a fact that contradicts common opinion or daily experience, in a logical-linguistic sense, indicates both a reasoning that appears invalid, but which must be accepted, and a reasoning that appears correct, but which leads to a contradiction.
This tangle is done using the paradox tangle as a reticular for another pattern. The pattern is striping, the creator is Martha Huggins and I followed her tutorial on YouTube.
The surface of this lens, part of my everyday glasses, is clearly imperfect. Just like the rest of me. The paradox is that I can see what is not imperfect. In fact, I believe I can "see" what is infinite, perfect, eternal. Sometimes, I feel visually hit by the truth. How can the imperfect perceive what is perfect? Natural light, 7Artisans manual lens at F8 plus a 16mm macro extension tube. Edited in Fuji's raw converter and refined in Luminar.

A paradox of triangles. Paradox is an official Zentangle pattern by Rick Roberts. Here I've arranged eight triangles in circular form and drew each one separately to end with this pattern.

“One must not think slightingly of the paradoxical…for the paradox is the source of the thinker’s passion, and the thinker without a paradox is like a lover without feeling: a paltry mediocrity.”

"As long as there is wanting in you, especially for someone or something to make you happy, paradoxically, this is a sure way to make yourself feel lacking and therefore miserable."
-Mooji (White Fire)
Have you give it a try? I must tell you that since I came to Chicago I wanted to get this image underneath the train trucks, people and car free, but for obvious reason I wasn’t able to. And believe me I tried. As much as I hate what is going on around us for the past couple of months capturing this image made me really happy. Always looking for the little things we can hang on to! What do you think?

In this creative environment, emotions run free and paradoxes playfully dance side by side. You'll find yourself in a place where happiness and sadness mingle, where light creates shadows, and where chaos somehow makes perfect sense.

some periods of life—especially during grief—are both vibrant and heavy; clear and foggy; wondrous and weird. sometimes the reflections are blurred, and yet: there’s still so much beauty. and so much love.
"The enigma is that my body simultaneously sees and is seen. That which looks at all thigs can also look at itself and recognize, in what it sees, the "other side" of its power of looking. It sees itself seeing; it touches itself toucing; it is visible and sensitive to itself." Maurice Merleau-Ponty

There is something so very paradoxical about sprinting through knee deep snow, desperately trying to make a composition in perfect photographic conditions... I would have loved to be a bystander for those oh so very frantic five minutes before sunset.

Why should I care to find my song?
Why should you care to find yours?
Don’t we vibrate in an Ocean of Sound?
Does the dream of reaching ourselves
To finally know who we are
To finally know where we are going
Delight an Answer in limitless queries?
Don’t our bodies soak in possibility
Within the larger symphony of stars and galaxies
Beyond all mathematical perplexity?
Will our shallow throated emissions
Penetrate the shells still dividing us?
From nowhere and everywhere
This paradoxical quest holds the Tune
We are each an aspect of its vital Harmony
We find our journey waiting and singing to us
To invoke a much deeper throated response
Until we feel ourselves to be Home

The quest to find Truth showers its songs upon my life and it is the only way I know to find meaning. We each have a connection to the Poetry of Life. Immersed in this we are invincible. My Blog

The lake was named because it's outlet to the Schroon River reverses flow to become an inlet in times of flood on the river. But on this morning, the evaporating water from the lake that would turn back into a fog of water droplets, would seem to be the more appropriate paradox. Nothing intrigues a photographer more than fog, I think, and perhaps it is the slow reveal. Somewhere, away from here, the sun rose bold and red; at the shoreline, I had to be content to know it was daybreak as clouds high above lit up and reflected in the lake. Nothing could have pleased me more.
