This actually is a watercolor painting, of the lovely west shoreline of the bay. At noon, the water is a deep green.
Paradise Bay (Oneura Bay) is on Urupukapuka Island in the Bay of Islands. While this bay can be reached on foot the packraft (parked under the tree) enabled me to fully explore the coast as well as land on beaches and in small coves. The island's trails are great and not to be missed.

During the southern summer humpback whales frequent Paradise Bay, Antarctica, to feed on krill and small fish. In winter they migrate north to give birth.
The Almirante Brown Antarctic Base is on the Antarctic Peninsula facing Paradise Bay. Cruise ship tourists sometimes enjoy sliding down the hill on their backs.

Taken in Paradise Bay, Antarctic Peninsula on our cruise to the Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctic Peninsula. I loved seeing all the glaciers and icebergs. Taken from a zodiac.

A small turtle and several ducks are hiding out from the heat of the day on this log at the edge of the forest. We are floating along in Paradise Bay, mid-afternoon of a warm September day. Very peaceful in here.
Blue-eyed Antarctic shags (cormorants) nest on this cliff on Paradise Bay, Antarctica. The green rock above may contain copper.
Argentina's summer-only Almirante Brown Antarctic Base on Paradise Bay is equipped with a dormitory, three labs, photography workshop, emergency radio station, office, and library. Research into coastal ecology and oceanography is carried out here.
