Some of the earliest BAG members learned about hand papermaking in this studio in the late 1970s. Suzanne Ferris & Neal Bonham came from University of Wisconsin where they learned under Walter Hamady

As well as generating its own power supply, running it's own housing and arranging it's own social security Carrongrove papermill also ran its own fire service.

I would think that the buildings behind are now from the left the Omar Kyham , used to be sylvesters and the Lion & Dragon pub

probably now a coffee shop the "new" building I will show you pics is to be pulled down

Whiting Paper Mill in Menasha circa 1882. Wisconsin Central and M & N railroads are represented. Milwaukee and Northern Railroad operated between 1870 and 1893, when it was bought out by Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railroad.
