The Georgia Pacific plant in Big Island, Virginia. Calotype on Canson Marker. It was blowing hard during this exposure, so it looks liks a double exposure from the camera movement. The white haze in the center of the photo is from the steam this plant produces.

The old boiler house contains two water pipe radiant boilers by Steinmüller, built in 1936 and 1950, with travelling grate firing for hard coal - operating pressure 25 atü.

In a room beneath the Steinmüller cyklon boiler there are some nice machines, which are - I guess - high pressure pumps or compressors.

Peppermint power plant is a little power station hides in a picturesque zone of the Black Forest. It was built next to a paper mill in order to provide electricity to the factory. Both the power station and the paper mill were decommissioned around 1999.
