This collage was made entirely from magazine strips with a technique I call "painting with paper." I cut the paper into different shapes and layer them in such a way that they look almost like the brushstrokes in a painting.

There is evidence that the Jōmon people built ships out of big trees and used them for Fishing and traveling. There is no agreement if they used sails or paddles. The Jomon also used Obsidian, Jade and different kinds of wood,their pottery was "cord marked" with string, they were probably adept at textile manufacture, also "grass marked" pottery but most exceptionally their asymmetrical figurines - Dogú very alien looking effigy's and of course the Jomon Venus which is the base inspiration for these small sculpted figurines cast in a variety of materials including white Danish concrete and Ice.

Combination of paper lace, Thai paper flowers, a Japanese coaster, washi. My favourite paper supplier in the city is the Paper Place on Queen West.
