This collage was made entirely from magazine strips with a technique I call "painting with paper." I cut the paper into different shapes and layer them in such a way that they look almost like the brushstrokes in a painting.

An exceptional album of paperwork: cut, stitched, woven, folded, pierced, collaged, and embossed paper. Bought from an ebay dealer, the album has handmade board covers stamped Melita Strube 1884. If not an actual teacher's workbook, it is certainly influenced by the educational theories of Friedrich Froebel or Frobel, 1782 - 1852.
