Some dimensional paper models I made to test out future designs. The center one is the Telos holocron... I haven't got up the ambition to try that one yet.
This Ritual Laboratory was about transforming recycled paper into treasures with Anthroplogie’s Kayte Terry, by making pennant flag banners and paper flowers.
In honor of the Jewish holiday of Shavuot, Cowgirl Creamery provided a selection of cheeses. The Brough brothers entertained throughout.

Paper circles cut from illustration board with my metal punches; the striped pattern paper is paste paper mounted on heavy watercolor paper.; largest circle about 3/4 in diameter. I dip each earring in Modge Podge matte or Minwax water-based Polycrylic (clear semi-gloss) before adding beads or ear post.
Trying to get the right combination of "stick" to hold the tissue paper down, on the right subsurface material, with the right glue, so it holds in place while plastic is deposited but can be removed when completed.
That's a mouthful!

This is my first try at creating more complex Photoshop montages and it still looks pretty amateur... nevertheless I like it.
I just received a Kodak six 20 box brownie from a friend and decided to give it a test run with a paper negative......with great success...Luckily this camera had two spools left in it so I will be re-spooling some 120 film onto the 620 spools to run a bit of film through the old beast!! My Kodak collection just got one camera richer! heck yess ;)

I took a macro workshop with Steve Cirone of San Diego Nature Photography Tours and we went to the Butterfly Jungle at Safari Park. He sets you up with everything you need for macro photography; macro lens, flash set-up and monopod. All you have to do is concentrate on taking the shot. It was pure joy!

I've officially started university. Today we had a photography challenge to take self-portraits. Normally I'm fine with self-portraits... in fact I have done quite a few. However the settings for this were different than I am used to, plus I was with two boys I had never met before. So I was a little subdued.
The first idea I had was to make some paper dolls and drape them in front of me. They are supposed to represent the many aspects of my personality. I made these paper dolls to use in the self portrait but ended up taking these photos. The out of focus dolls show, in my opinion, the aspects of myself that I have yet to learn, or that I won't admit to myself... and so they're hazy. I love these photos personally, but I didn't use them in the end because I think the tutors were looking for a literal self-portrait as opposed to a figurative one.
