Final 3 panels for assemblage project (family).
This panel used images from family photo albums, an ultrasound from when my mom was pregnant with me, and creative commons images of the landscape, fence, roots, and flowers/pots.
I wanted to work with the idea of the choice that goes into starting a family, and how it is often undertaken by multiple people whose desires are similar but necessarily different simply because they are different people, and it's simultaneously collaborative and very independently-motivated. I used a quote from one of my favorite short stories that deals primarily with the idea that love begins as a selfish endeavor but ultimately has to be about the person you're loving.

Some panels for a quilt made by my grandmother back in the late 80's. I'm trying to get my skills up to scratch so I can finish it, along with the pink and green quilt.
