Image from a visit to the Glasfachshule in Hadamar (the National glass school). Though no students were present when we called, we saw some good examples of their work.
At one side on our house, we have a bunch of succulents that are under corrugated plastic panels to protect them from rain. The only problem is that the plastic panels is opaque green and creates a shade over the succulents. My Mom suggested we get clear corrugated plastic panels to allow more light to come in… We didn't have a vehicle to carry the panels from the store to our house, so we haven't been able to replace the panels… until this morning when I asked my niece if she could drive us to the local home improvement store. They fit perfectly inside the van and I finally was able to replace the green ones. Now the succulents will have more light and hopefully will grow better.

There is always some confusion with regard to our local "ocean going" otters. Unlike the far west coast of Vancouver Island, our sheltered waters only have a species of River Otter. But most of their time is spent on the shoreline and tidal water. With longer tails and necks, they do not float and eat on their backs, as the Sea Otters do. Any major shellfish, fish or crabs are taken up to the rocks to enjoy. They are great to see basking, frolicking and lolloping along the shore, and sometimes near the local docks.
Easier to do with a kayak than a motor.

The St. Polycarp Village Apartments are located in the Winter Hill section of the City of Somerville in a neighborhood that has a mix of rental and owner-occupied houses, and public housing to the west and south of the site. The project is completely energy efficient with such features as solar panels to generate electricity and hot water, an air filtration system, a green roof, medium density insulation, and energy efficient windows and appliances. There was an emphasis in the design and construction of improvements to reduce energy costs. The project received a LEED Silver rating. All of the units are affordable, including six three-bedroom units and three accessible ones. The neighborhood is transit-oriented; located near green space and recreation facilities; and close to retail, grocery stores, a health center, a post office, and other services.

Panel organisé par la Banque africaine de développement et qui a fait ressortir la nécessité d'accroître les investissements dans le capital humain. Former les jeunes pour favoriser leur employabilité.
