4472 leaving Wennington with a North Yorkshireman tour thought to be in July 1979.
This was taken with a Zenit SLR which I found very awkward to focus as the markings on the lens barrel were no help at all !

Moving car... :)
I've not really tried panning much before. Well, this is a start. I'll have to do some more to perfect it.
This is kind of an ICM I suppose as the pan didn't work entirely. But I rather like the combination.
Thank you for taking the time to look. I hope you enjoy the image.
[Developed in Lightroom for colour and exposure contrast, bringing out the yellows and controlling the reds. Reduced Clarity and Texture to enhance the blurry feel. Flipped horizontally to make it feel more dynamic.
Processed in Affinity Photo with Levels to add contrast and expand the dynamic range. Dark vignette shaped to just affect top and bottom and not sides to leave space for movement.]

Wipe out
In this shot we havea panned shot of the last plane I was lucky to fly on in the shape of Ryanair's stunning 737-8AS which is seen here building up speed as it departs off runway 23R.
An Old Photo from my Repository.
Taken with my Kodak Z700.
My Friend was static while the background moved to gove me the motion blur. Rest is Photoshop Magic to create the effect of panning.

Nice Thursday, fellows. Let's work!
A Class800 photobombs my panned shot of Class43 041 'St Catherine's Castle' as she slows on the flyover to let the other train pass.
The Class43 HST units were introduced in 1976 and are officially the fastest diesel locomotive in the world at 148mph with a regular service speed of 125mph, henced named the InterCity 125. There are three Castle Class HST units in service with GWR who have recently announced their withdrawal "over the next few years".
The Class800 series were first introduced to GWR in 2017 as a replacement for the Class43. Due to the panned motion blur I cannot tell if this is a Class800 or 802 as GWR operate both.
Something different which just about worked. A pan shot of 91101 as it works the 1D18 1435 London Kings Cross - Leeds. Seen at Helpston 11/11/23.
This street is Pan Ha' in the village of Dysart, Fife. The Pan refers to the salt pans where they used to produce salt from the nearby River Forth and Ha' is short for Haugh an old scots word for a flat piece of land. The cottages vary in age from 16th to 18th centuary and are typical of Fife coastal villages with there white washed walls and pan tiled roofs. The other buiding is St Serfs Tower a former church built in the 16th centuary.

57305 hums through Lichfield trent Valley with a DVT filling and 37 topping off this excitement sandwich. Unfortunately due to a number of factors, concentrating too much on the pan, and train/shutter speed, I cannot give you any vehicle numbers apart from the afore mentioned 57.

Salt |
salt pan workers
Tamil Nadu is one of the few states that produce salt in India. In Tamil Nadu, salt is produced primarily in the three districts of Nagapattinam, Tuticorin and Marakkanam in Villupuram.
The salt pan workers work under extremely hazardous conditions. They work with the harsh sun beating down upon them under the open sky and have employment only for about six months in a year. Their daily wages vary between 35 rupees to 85 rupees (US$ 0.78 to 1.9). Women generally get paid lower than men. In Marakknam, most of the workers belong to the Schedule Caste communities. It is estimated that about 3000 workers exist in Marakkanam area.
Photo taken at Newstead Abbey, one of the homes of Lord Byron. I've always loved this statue of Pan. Pan was/is of course a god of the woods, and the origin of the word panic'.
Having been followed by the guy plently of times I feel heres an old friend.

Photo number 3 to the Deleteme group, I can't wait to see people pick apart the lighting and the fact the actual subject is poorly focused. (that of course being the point as you should never really see Pan only feel/fear his presence).
OK do it!
