Marble-import wharf built 1907 on the Thames at Hammersmith, now used by artists. Residential developers have their eye on it, describing it as a "moribund group of buildings". I quite like a bit of moribund personally: certainly more interesting to the eye than most of the soulless recent developments along this stretch. London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham.
Palace Wharf built 1907 on the Thames at Hammersmith originally for marble importation, now used by artists. Residential developers have their eye on it, describing it as a "moribund group of buildings". I quite like a bit of moribund personally! But where was it parked? Mr Crubelier is not permitted to answer as he may well have been working round there at the time (1997 - sorry if I got it wrong Simon, I presumed you were in our midst then).
Palace Wharf is one of two warehouses on the Fulham stretch of the Thames that retains its own private river frontage. As others have been converted or renovated, they have ceded their frontage to a public Thames path, following the example established by Richard Rodgers. architect practice.
