It was 23rd March 1940, a day full of excitement & today after 68 years on the same day khon ke nadiyan bahai jaa rahi hain.. akhir kyun???

Pakistan ka matalb kya? لا اله الالله

Wo pakistan jis ka khwab 1930 mein dekha gaya tha aaj lahoo rang hai aur ajj is pyare watan ke har hise main ek jang ka alam nazar aa raha hai..Ahhh....... kya hum sab musalman ek doosre se itna he uktaa gay hain k ek doosre ke jaan lene ke nobat aa gai hai???

I have stopped watching any news channel kyun k har waqt khoon ke holi ka manzar nahi dekha jata. Dil dehal jata hai aur ankh ashkbar ho jati hai.

Mere pyare hamwatno khuda ke liye aapis main pyar aur ittefaq se raho. Kyun bairooni sazishon main uljhe hue ho. Kyun ankhain band kiye ho? Agar watan ke tukre hue to kahin k naa raho ge,zalilo khuaar ho jao ge. Socho aur apne dil-o-dimag ko hazir rakh kar socho k tum kya ho aur kya hona chah rahe ho.

Ya Allah! aaj hamara pyara watan khoon rang hai. Is par apni rehmat farma aur hum sab ko apis mein pyar, ittefaq aur sakoon se rehne ke taqat ataa farma. Ameen aur hamare pyare watan ko duniya main jannat ke manind kar de. ameen

May Allah bless you with success and prosperity

Have a Happy Independence Day

Christian citizens of Pakistan after facing tragedy of 15th March 2015 at two churches of Yohanabad, Lahore, came out to celebrate Pakistan Day on March 23, 2015 at Lahore. .

Where we are now is what paths we took in the chapters of our life. Our choice of paths took us to our destiny which we are searching for our whole life. There are destinations along the way, some are those which take your breath away and those which drown you in tears. The time continues to the present moment that brings you here, before this very picture, reading this text.

We do not live in a culture that readily acknowledge the urgent value of the present moment. We tend to be obsessed with the past or the fixation of the future. Both over which we have no control. It's interesting, isn't it, that we often attach an idea of happiness to a quantity of things that could or might happen -- I would be more happy if...

So perhaps what we are missing in our quest for happiness is just the willingness to stop and see what we already have around us. Its beautiful. We are just unable to see what is all around us. We have only travelled the journey to now for the sake of something else and totally ignored what beauty we have left while watching the ugly facts.

This is the time when we forget what mistakes we made in the past, and start over with a new dimension of thought. If we keep on complaining and blaming others, we would never be able to flourish. It is time to reclaim, what was always there for us. Our country.

Its been seventy years already we have wasted over nothing. Lets make sure we do not waste more time. Have a blessed and empowering Pakistan Day.

Pakistan Day or Pakistan Resolution Day, is a national holiday in Pakistan to commemorate the Lahore Resolution passed on the 23rd of March 1940.

The Muslim League held its annual session at Minto Park in Lahore, Punjab, that lasted from 22 March till 24 March 1940. During this event, the Muslim League led by Muhammad Ali Jinnah and other Founding Fathers narrated the events regarding the differences between Hindus and Muslims, and moved the historical resolution that cemented the formation of a nation-state in South Asia as Pakistan, even though it did not actually mention Pakistan at all.

The resolution was passed on 23 March and had its signatures from the Founding Fathers of Pakistan. It reads as:

[Quoting Resolution:] No constitutional plan would be workable or acceptable to the Muslims unless geographical contiguous units are demarcated into regions which should be so constituted with such territorial readjustments as may be necessary. That the areas in which the Muslims are numerically in majority as in the North-Western and Eastern zones of India should be grouped to constitute independent states in which the constituent units shall be autonomous and sovereign.

Pakistan Day is annually celebrated on March 23rd to commemorate the Lahore Resolution and to celebrate the adoption of Pakistan's first constitution.

Sarah was running around on the stage at Arbury Community Centre when I approached her. She looked so cute! So out came the camera:-) An almost as is, uncropped shot straight from the camera.

Green Street is a road in the London Borough of Newham, England. The name appears in records from the 15th century and it was the boundary of the ancient parishes of East Ham and West Ham, from the Romford Road to the marshes near The River Thames.

Near Upton Park tube station, the road becomes a regional centre for retail in food, jewellery and fabrics, and the location of Queens Market.[6] The road has an array of shops specialising in primarily South Asian goods, catering to those with strong cultural and familial ties to Pakistan (and, to a lesser extent, India and Bangladesh). The street also has a smaller yet prominent Afro-Caribbean community culture, reflected in its several food stores specialising in Caribbean and African foods.

There is a very large Pakistani Muslim population living in the area.

Saw this one on the Dawn newspaper's website....

Walking down Curry Mile, situated on Wilmslow Road just south of the University of Manchester, is like being transported back to the Motherland. Countless Indian (read Pakistani), Afghan, and other Middle Eastern restaurants and hookah bars, people milling about in their shalwar kameez, spitting out their paan juices on the sidewalk while eating a frozen cone of pistachio kulfi and sipping some Kashmiri chai.

Must admit being on Curry Mile on August 14 was a little strange - celebrating Pakistan's independence from Britain...in Britain. Ah, the joys and ironies of colonialism.

Cllr Raza Anjum, who, at 24, is the youngest Conservative councillor. Watch out, 'cos he's a very determined young man. He was a wonderfully cooperative model:-) Uncropped close-up with my 50mm F/1.4.

I'll get into deep trouble if I didn't upload this picture. These girls grabbed me at a community function and insisted I take their photo. I couldn't refuse, could I:-) Professional posers, I say! I'm always astonished how kids these days are so cool in front of a camera. Just look at them:-) Anyway, just a quick snap for the girls. And, they made me promise I'd upload it for them to see! So here it is girls. From left to right, that's Wafiya, Urwa (middle top), Sarah (middle, front), and... oh, trouble, I can't remember...
